Media coverage of Brown’s 250th anniversary
Thank you for submitting your grant proposals to the 250th Anniversary. The proposal deadline was 5:00pm on May 15, 2014. We will respond to all submissions by June 15, 2014. However, you can learn about what proposals have received funding and when the programs will occur here.
The semiquincentenary celebration gives us the opportunity to celebrate Brown’s many triumphs in education, research, and service; reflect on the issues that Brown has confronted over time; consider Brown of today; and imagine Brown’s future in the 21st century and beyond.
Located in Providence, Rhode Island and founded in 1764, Brown University is the seventh-oldest colonial college in the United States.
The Steering Committee for the 250th Anniversary is comprised of current and emeriti members of the Corporation; current and emeriti members of the faculty; staff; students representing the undergraduate, graduate, and medical school communities; and alumni.
Send us a short video, and we’ll do our best to include it in Brown’s first crowdsourced video compilation project, Brown 250+ & Me, to be premiered during Brown’s 250th Anniversary Celebration!
Before using the logo in approved programming, communications, etc., relating to Brown’s 250th anniversary, permission must be requested of and received from the Office of the 250th Anniversary.
